Covid-19: Masjid Closure

CVIC: COVID-19 Update

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

As-salamu alaykum,

As you all know the country is at a critical juncture due to the outbreak of the Corona Virus. This requires some critical decisions at all levels towards the safety of our community. As you already know we did not have Jumu’ah prayers at the Masjid last week. Now based on advisories from government officials, health agencies, and consultation with the religious scholars CVIC will shutdown its operationsThe Masjid will be CLOSED effective immediately for the remainder of the month (Until 03/31/20).

UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE:

  • No Jumu’ah Prayers
  • No 5 Daily Prayers
  • No Evening Programs or halaqa’s
  • No Sunday School
This is indeed a sad decision, but Insha’Allah it is in the best interest of our community, especially those who are elderly and most vulnerable.

During these critical times, CVIC needs the community to work collectively with the board of directors in order to sustain the masjid and the operational costs. We urge everyone to:

  • Donate generously online with the links provided to help support CVIC with its operational costs.
  • Donate generously for funds to help support community members who will need our support.
  • Support the elderly community members by reaching out to them
  • Volunteer to help those in our community in this time of need
